Transporting desktop PCs

Desktop PCs are more robust than laptops but heavier and bulkier. In rollouts and returns they usually come by the pallet – together with monitors, keyboards and cables. Planning revolves around stacking and pallet count.

What matters

Weight per pallet
Tower PCs quickly put a lot of weight on a pallet. Stacking height and pallet weight determine how many pallets a vehicle takes.
Layers and interlayers
PCs are stacked in layers with interlayers and secured with film.
Mini PCs
Compact mini PCs travel better in cartons or pallet cages.
Mixed with monitors
Monitors should not lie under PCs – separate load carriers are safer.

Planning questions

We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.

  1. How many PCs, and which form factor – tower, small form factor, mini?
  2. Are they palletised, and how tall are the pallets?
  3. Do monitors and peripherals travel along?
  4. Is there a dock at the collection point?
  5. Where are the devices going?

What we need from you

  • Quantity and form factor
  • Pallet count and height
  • Peripherals travelling along
  • Loading conditions

What we do for you

What we organise

  • Transport of your IT hardware from collection straight to destination – from one pallet to recurring volumes
  • On request collection from several sites, serial number capture and project-based packaging
  • Dates coordinated with every collection and destination site – with one contact for you

Good to know

Have storage media wiped or removed beforehand. Bundled on pallets, we transport desktop PCs particularly efficiently.

How it works

  1. 01

    Request

You send route, date, product group and quantity using the form below – no serial numbers needed.

  2. 02

    Review

We check pallet count, weight and stackability and plan separate load carriers for sensitive devices.

  3. 03

    Quote

You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including multi-site collection, serial number capture and packaging.

  4. 04

    Execution

Collection palletised or packed, transport and handover at destination.

Questions and answers: Desktop PCs

How many desktop PCs fit on a pallet?

That depends on form factor, packaging and permitted stacking height. Pallet count, height and approximate weight are enough for planning.

Can PCs and monitors travel on the same pallet?

Possible, but monitors should never lie under PCs. Separate load carriers are usually safer.

Do I have to pack the PCs beforehand?

Not necessarily. Unpacked devices can be palletised; on request we organise project-based packaging.
