Guides
Estimating IT quantities: pieces, pallets or pallet cages
For planning we do not need an exact unit count, but a reliable order of magnitude: how many pallets or pallet cages, how tall, stackable or not? With that we choose the right vehicle.
What matters
- Load carriers instead of pieces
- With mixed goods, the number of pallets or pallet cages says more than the unit count.
- Height and stackability
- Two half-height stackable pallets need less space than two tall non-stackable ones.
- Weight
- Servers and UPS units are heavy; a rough weight prevents surprises.
- Unknown is allowed
- Choose “quantity not known yet” in the form if you do not know.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Roughly how many pallets, pallet cages or cartons are there?
- How tall are the pallets?
- Are they stackable?
- Are there particularly heavy devices?
- Will the quantity change before the date?
What we need from you
- Quantity and unit in the form
- Pallet height
- Stackability
- Heavy devices
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport of your IT hardware from collection straight to destination – from one pallet to recurring volumes
- On request collection from several sites, serial number capture and project-based packaging
- Dates coordinated with every collection and destination site – with one contact for you
Good to know
If you do not know a quantity exactly yet, mark it as open – that is better than an estimate, and we ask specifically.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date, product group and quantity using the form below – no serial numbers needed.
- 02
Review
From your details we calculate space and vehicle needs and ask where values are missing.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including multi-site collection, serial number capture and packaging.
- 04
Execution
Collection with a suitable vehicle; if the quantity differs significantly, we coordinate before loading.
Questions and answers: Estimating quantities and pallets
Do I need to know the exact unit count?
No. An order of magnitude in pallets or pallet cages is enough for planning.
What happens if there is more on collection day?
We clarify before loading whether it can be taken or a further collection is needed.
Which unit should I choose in the form?
The one in which you know the quantity best – pieces, pallets or pallet cages.
