Transporting wireless access points
In a Wi-Fi replacement, schools, offices or hotels often swap hundreds of access points. The old devices are small but numerous and come with mounts from ceilings and walls. For transport, collection, counting and accessories matter.
What matters
- Many small devices
- Access points are collected in cartons or pallet cages; otherwise individual devices easily go missing.
- Mounts
- Mounting plates and clips belong with the device or are collected separately – depending on the destination.
- Removal
- Removal from ceilings and walls is done by your provider.
- Many buildings
- Replacement projects extend across several buildings or sites.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- How many access points, at how many sites?
- Will they be made available collected?
- Do mounts travel along?
- Where do the devices go – remarketer, recycling, warehouse?
- Should they be counted or serial numbers captured?
