Transporting IT components and spare parts
Memory, processors, power supplies, mainboards: IT components from refurbishment, spare parts stores or returns are small and often of high value per carton. They need sorted, labelled packaging and a traceable quantity.
What matters
- Small parts
- Loose components easily go missing. Labelled cartons or boxes per type are a must.
- ESD protection
- Electronic components travel in antistatic packaging; the shipper provides it.
- Value per volume
- Much value in a small space – counting and handover with quantity details make sense.
- Mixing with devices
- Do not load component cartons under heavy devices.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which components, in what quantities?
- Are they packed ESD-safe and labelled?
- Should they be counted?
- Where are the parts going?
- Do they travel with other hardware?
