Transporting hard drives and storage media
Removed hard drives, SSDs and tape cartridges are small – and may contain sensitive data. We transport them but do not erase anything. How the media are prepared and sealed is up to you.
What matters
- Data responsibility
- Responsibility for the data remains with the client. Whether data is erased or destroyed beforehand is your decision.
- Counting
- Storage media are counted or captured by serial number – at collection on request.
- Sealed containers
- If you specify closed or sealed containers, we transport them as handed over.
- Destination
- Typical destinations are ITAD providers, destruction services or your own site.

Where does Logisticoo transport storage media?
To the recipient you specify – such as a destruction or ITAD service provider. On request we capture serial numbers and document the handover.
Can storage media be transported in sealed containers?
Yes, if you specify it. We take over and hand over the containers as they were sealed.
Is the number of storage media recorded?
On request we count or capture serial numbers at collection.
