Transporting retired IT hardware to recycling partners
Not every device is reused. Retired hardware goes to a recycling or waste management company you appoint. We take care of the transport there – with an eye on batteries, storage media and the receiving company's requirements.
What matters
- Your certified company
- You choose and appoint the recycling partner. We transport to them.
- Waste classification
- Whether the hardware counts as waste and which accompanying documents are needed is clarified with the receiving company. We need the details in advance.
- Batteries
- Batteries – especially damaged ones – need particular attention in transport.
- Storage media
- Whether storage media are destroyed or erased beforehand lies with you or the receiving company.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which company receives the hardware, and which documents does it require?
- Does the hardware count as waste, and which accompanying documents are needed?
- Do the devices contain batteries, and are any damaged?
- How are the goods packed?
- How are storage media handled?
