Transporting thin clients
Thin clients are small and light – which is why they almost always come in large numbers. Typical cases are replacement programmes in public bodies, banks and branch networks. Planning revolves around counting, load carriers and accessories.
What matters
- Many small devices
- Many thin clients fit in a pallet cage. To avoid damage, they need layers or cartons.
- Accessories
- Power supplies, stands and VESA mounts often travel separately and should be counted.
- Counting
- For large quantities, serial number capture is the safest way to an exact count.
- Branch networks
- Thin clients are often spread across many sites – collection from several sites is available on request.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- How many thin clients are there, and at how many sites?
- Are they packed or loose?
- Do power supplies and mounts travel along?
- Should the count be captured via serial numbers?
- Where are the devices going?

Questions and answers: Thin clients
How are large quantities of thin clients transported?
In cartons or in pallet cages with layers so the devices do not rub against each other. Power supplies and mounts travel separately.
How do I get an exact unit count?
Most reliably via serial number capture at collection, which we offer on request.
Can thin clients be collected from many branches?
Yes. Collection from several sites is available on request; we coordinate dates per site.
