Hardware
Transporting mobile computers and scanners
Mobile computers and handheld scanners are in constant use in warehouses and retail. In a replacement, devices go back together with charging cradles and spare batteries – often from many sites and without interrupting operations.
What matters
- Batteries and spares
- Spare batteries not fitted in a device are subject to stricter transport rules than installed ones. We ask about them.
- Cradles
- Multi-slot charging stations are bulky and travel separately.
- Ongoing operation
- Swaps and returns are planned so that operations continue.
- Many sites
- Branches and warehouses – collection from several sites is available on request.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- How many devices and charging stations?
- Are there loose spare batteries?
- Are damaged batteries included?
- At how many sites?
- Where are the devices going?
