Used and new IT hardware to non-EU countries
When IT hardware leaves the EU, customs formalities come in. For used devices the question may also arise whether they count as goods or as waste. And some technology is subject to export restrictions. You clarify these points with your customs agent – we plan the transport.
What matters
- Customs formalities
- Export declaration in the EU and import in the destination country – who handles them is agreed before the quote.
- Used devices
- For used electrical equipment, evidence that it is not waste may be required. The shipper clarifies this with the relevant bodies.
- Export control
- Certain network and security technology may be subject to export restrictions; the check lies with the shipper.
- Batteries
- Battery rules also apply across borders and per mode of transport.

We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which country are the goods going to, and who is the importer?
